Pete Lett
Pete Lett is an Air Force veteran whose employer used WIOA-OJT funds to reimburse his salary after transitioning from the military to private employment. Without OJT funds it is unlikely his employer, LeaderQuest, would have taken a chance on him. Peter went on to become a revenue leader and a campus director who took an underperforming campus and made it the most consistently profitable campus in the company. Pete continues to work with companies to help them leverage OJT funds for the benefit of their students.
Pete enlisted in the United States Air Force at age 20. He was deployed multiple times in support of US and Coalition forces in Iraq, United Arab Emirates and Africa. After 9 years of service, Pete was medically retired.
Pete’s experience with the value of WIOA-OJT funds led him to found OJT Associates with Kyle McDonald and Steve Lett.
Pete is married with 3 sons and 3 dogs. He lives in Detroit, Michigan metro area. He continues to be actively involved in the veteran community and mentoring transitioning service members to civilian life.
Kyle McDonald
Kyle McDonald is an Air Force and Army veteran with a deep understanding of On-the-Job-Training and how it benefits job candidates and hiring organizations. He has worked in Workforce Development and recruiting for over twenty years. Kyle understands the importance of individuals applying transferrable knowledge, skills, and abilities to apply for new roles and development opportunities.
Kyle has redefined himself multiple times in his career serving at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center as a nurse, before moving to outpatient, long term care, and management roles. Before venturing into nursing, he had a career as an IT consultant, developing applications and websites for well over a decade leading the development arm of an IT firm specializing in medium-sized businesses for software integrations.
As the CEO of TORQ, the technology platform behind OJT Associates, Kyle possesses a deep understanding of the OJT salary reimbursement and documentation process from an IT and business perspective. Further, Kyle understands the workflow and processes necessary to support state, regional and local Workforce Development.
Kyle is an avid runner and mountain biker who loves to compete against his own personal records when he isn’t adventuring with his wife and two sons.
Steve Lett
Steve Lett has been developing sustainable and profitable revenue models for a wide range of organizations and industries for over 35 years. His approach is highly collaborative, leveraging a client’s products, content, audience, and data to drive engagement and revenue across digital, social media and analog channels.
As a senior revenue development and operations executive, Steve has a successful track record of delivering revenue growth for startups and established companies in a diverse set of industries including publishing, media, IoT, embedded systems, AI, and manufacturing.
Steve’s commitment to the client is to deliver dynamic revenue growth that is sustainable short and long term. His expertise includes direct sales, large account management, lead generation, sales process optimization, product messaging, marketing/product launch, distribution development, content marketing, content management and digital publishing.
Steve lives in the Chicago metro area with his wife and faithful Labrador retriever, McKinley.
